TRAINSFERS

4mm Scale Transfers - The Hurst Approach

TRAINSFERS is the name for the transfer division of Hurst Models. Like our approach to model products as Hurst Models, TRAINSFERS will concentrate on the items that have been missed by the “mainstream” manufacturers, but are equally important. We will also be aiming to produce transfers in quantities that you want.

Truly Authentic Reproductions in Every Detail
Where specific colours are used in transfers, such as Railtrack Green and Network Rail red, ink colour specifications have been obtained and used to allow for a truly authentic colour match. This information has been supplied directly by the organisations that originated the real train stickers. The correct typefaces have also been used. Our Rail Alphabet is a genuine Rail Alphabet, and not Helvetica as some transfer manufacturers have used. Spacing is another critical aspect of lettering, and all wordsets are correctly spaced in length, as well being to the correct height. This means truly authentic recreations of the originals.

High Tech Creations
TRAINSFERS artwork are produced using computer technology to bring consistently high quality. Computer generation means far greater accuracy over conventional hand drawing methods, as well as time and cost savings. These savings are passed onto you in realistic prices, sensible quantities, and the ability to produce the more obscure items.

Copyright
With private companies now running the railways, there are many complications concerning the issue of the copyright of logos. Some companies are more than happy to allow reproduction of the company logo as they see it as free publicity. Other companies are far more protective and often require costly and complex licenses. So, if the graphic item is not available it is usually because of copyright issues.

Availability
We have recently had a cull of the less popular transfers from the range. This has allowed
us to focus on the more popular items and introduced new item. If demand exists, we will
of course reintroduce withdrawn items.
