Do you produce N Gauge model kits?
Yes, we do produce N Gauge models. Please see our N Gauge web site for

Do you produce O Gauge model kits?
Yes, we do produce O Gauge models. Please see our O Gauge web site for
more details.
Do
you produce steam era model kits?
No we do not produce "steam era" model kits. We mainly concentrate on
the diesel and electric era.
Do
you do resprays?
No, we do not produce resprays. However, there are a number of companies
that produce resprays. These companies advertise in a variety of model
railways magazine.
Can you undertake the conversion for me?
No,
we are unable to convert models for you. . However, there are a number
of companies that produce RTR models using out kits and parts as a basis.

What are you producing next?
We do not advertise new products until they are ready for launch or are
in a very advanced stage of production. This way disappointment is avoided
if the product is not immediately available.
Are
the kits self coloured?
No. The kits will need to be painted and finished with transfers etc.
Do
the kits come with transfers?
No. Transfers have to be purchased separately.
Do
you Multiple Unit parts/kits (Pacer Doors, 156 Underframe etc) have enough
parts for a 2 car unit?
Yes. Parts/kits such as the Pacer Doors and 156 Underframe Kit contain
enough parts in the kit for both vehicles in the unit. For example, CKU000
Pacer “Single Leaf” Double Doors contains 6 doors for a 2
car 142. DKU105 Class 156 Underframe Detailing Kit contains enough parts
for a
2 car 156.
Why
can't I order by telephone?
We do not have the resource available to staff the telephone and take
orders. Orders can be placed by post, e-mail or fax. In addition, orders
placed by written methods are normally more accurate, especially when
credit card numbers are being provided.
Why do you ask for my telephone number when I place an order?
When you place an order we ask for your telephone number for two reasons.
Firstly, if we have any major problem with your order we can call you.
Secondly, the credit card merchant we use require a telephone number as
part of the security check used to charge your credit/debit card.
What do you do with the personal details I provide you?
All of the personal details you provide us, such as your telephone number,
are only used to process your order. They are not passed onto any third
parties (accept to our credit card merchant when processing credit/debit
cards) and are not sold to mailing
lists. We respect your privacy and would never share your details to anyone.
Do
you operate Cash On Delivery (COD)?
We do not operate Cash On Delivery (COD). All items must be paid for
in full prior to despatch.
What
does O/S mean?
If
an item is marked "O/S" it is known to be Out of Stock. Other
items may become out of stock.
Why
don't you have all stock available all of the time?
We now manufacture over 200 products, in three scales. We also design
and produce products for other companies. It is impossible to have all
products in stock all of the time - due to both space requirements and
the amount of money that would have to be tied up in stock. In addition,
stock is produced in batches, often as low as 10 at a time. Batches take
time to manufacture and pack. If we sell out of a batch it could be at
least 6 weeks before that batch is re-run - though the time to re-run
a batch does depend on how well an item sells. For obvious reasons, the
more popular items are run more often.
When
will the O/S item be available again?
if
we know when an item will be available again we will state this on the
web site, after the price and "O/S". If we do not know, we obviously
will not state a date. Please do not ask for an availability date as we
cannot provide one.
How
long will my order take to deliver?
We state that your order will take up to 28 days to deliver. However,
we normally process and despatch orders much sooner than that. If you
have not received your order after 28 days (allowing postal time), please
contact us. Please do not chase orders before 28 days as it only causes
us further delays.
Why
can't I fit an etched side designed for a Lima coach onto a Hornby coach?
Before we design a kit, we choose the intended donor vehicle the kit will
fit. The kit is then designed to perfectly fit that vehicle. Whilst the
RTR manufacturers like Hornby, Lima and Bachmann have some duplication
in their ranges (e.g. MK 1 coaches) they are all physically slightly different
sizes. In some instances we are able to design a kit that will fit onto
a number of different donor vehicle types. If this is possible, we advise
what alternative donor vehicles the kit will fit onto.
Do
you ship to Japan?
We
can ship to anywhere in the world, including Japan.
I
gather you have produced some Irish outline coach overlays, but cannot
find them on your website. Why is this?
We
have produced some Irish outline coach overlays exclusively for Model
Irish Railways (MIR). You will need to contact MIR directly at 12 Lynedale
Grange, Portadown, Craigavon, Northern Ireland, BT63 5XB for full details.
When writing to MIR, please be courteous enough to enclose an SSAE.
Please
note, we do not sell the Irish outline coach overlays and are unable to
advise you about them.
